William Frank 'Pancho' Stephenson

(1941-2025)

William Frank “Pancho” Stephenson, age 84, of Blanco, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025.

Born on April 26, 1941, in Austin, Frank dedicated his life to education and leadership. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&I University and a master’s degree from the University of Houston–Victoria (UHVC). He went on to serve his community as a teacher, coach, principal and later as superintendent. His lifelong commitment to students and schools left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Frank loved the Lord and was a devoted member of Blanco Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir and found joy and fellowship in his church family. He also gave generously of his time, volunteering at the Blanco Good Samaritan Center, always ready to lend a helping hand to others in need.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Stephenson; sons David Stephenson (Melanie) and Donald Stephenson (Julie); sisters Martha Wood (Larry), Peggy Holt (John), and Helen “Bitsy” Stephenson; and grandchildren Caitlin, Travis, Shelby (Trevor Howell), Maggie, Morgan, Taylor, and Michael Stephenson. He was also blessed with two greatgrandchildren, Rory and Thatcher Howell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Walter Stephenson. Frank will be remembered for his strong faith, servant heart, love for family, and dedication to the communities he served.

A service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, June 28, at 11 a.m. at Blanco Methodist Church, at 61 Pecan Street in Blanco.
