Chaille Hise

Chaille Hise

Chaille Hise was born in Harris County Texas on July 19, 1966 to loving parents.

She is survived by her brother Jerry and sister Liz, or “Buffy” and her partner Al.

Her father was a civil engineer whose work with the US State Department brought their family to South Africa for several years in her youth. Though she was young during this time, it was instrumental in forming her world view moving forward. Upon returning to Houston Texas, as an adolescent she took up the harp.

Over the next few years she became a very accomplished player. Chaille went on to attend the Art Institute of Houston. Followed by retail management into a distinguished career with the Pedernales Electric Company. She took great pride in her work and truly valued the lasting friendships she made in this time.

During her years in Texas Hill County she went on the meet her life partner, Al Irvin. Together, over the course of 14 years, they built a beautiful life together. Chaille and Al were opposites in many ways but complimented each other beautifully. They cared for countless animals, both wild and domestic. Al would garden and Chaille would process the fruits of their labor with the loving attention to detail that was such an integral part of her personality. She was a kind, giving, strong and highly intelligent woman.

For those of us who had the honor of having her in our lives, she will be truly missed. She left the world too soon but she will be in our hearts always.
