Roseann Torres

Roseann Torres, of Brady, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, at the age of 74. Survivors include her children: Diane Soto and Sammy Martinez of Mason, Mike Soto and Beatrice Martinez of Brady, Josephine and Arnold Pena of Seminole, Joann Torres and Homer Gomez of Mason, Joe and Stephanie Torres of Brady, Blondie Torres of Brady, Rose and Matthew Ruiz of Brady, Benny Hernandez of Brady, Jessie Valdez of Florida and Mickey Valdez of Brady, brothers and sisters: Anita Hernandez of Lufkin, Santos Hernandez Jr. of Brady, Jo Hernandez of Brady, Janie Hernandez of Comanche and Mary Delmasso of Comanche, 33 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Roseann was preceded in death by her husband Joe Torres, her parents Santos and Pauline Hernandez, three brothers Mike, Sammy and Martin Hernandez a sister Rita Hernandez, infant child Angel Torres and great-grandchildren Issac and Isaiah Sifuentes.

Roseann was born in Mason on June 28, 1950, to Santos and Pauline Valles Hernandez and passed away in Brady on April 22, 2025. She was raised in Mason and married Joe Torres. They had 10 children. Roseann was a loving grandmother and had a special bond with each of her grandchildren.

She loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing at the James River. She liked to sew and loved to dance. Roseann was a member of the Catholic Church.

Visitation with the family was last Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home with a Rosary that followed at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, April 25, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason. Interment followed in the Crosby Cemetery.
