DARRYL LYNN SEIDEL (1960-2026)

DARRYL LYNN SEIDEL (1960-2026)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Darryl Lynn Seidel, age 65, of Blanco, who departed this life on Jan. 17, 2026, in Austin.

He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 42 years, Teresa Ann Seidel, as well as his beloved sons, Anthony and his wife Wendi of Rogers, Arkansas, and Timothy of Austin. Darryl also cherished his role as Gramps to his three grandchildren: Jacob Thomas Seidel, Preslee Grace Seidel and Joshua Eli Seidel. He leaves behind his father Leroy Seidel, and siblings Johnny and his wife Helen, Bonnie Moorlat, and Cheryl McCulley.

Born on June 9, 1960, in Houston to Leroy and Esther Seidel, Darryl was a master electrician and the proud owner of DS Electric. He was an exceptional craftsman, known for his dedication to his work and his passion for teaching others. A special time for him was teaching and working alongside Timothy as he remodeled his first home. Beyond his profession, Darryl was an avid hunter and a semi-professional golfer, finding joy in both pursuits. His greatest accomplishment, however, was his unwavering devotion to his family, serving as a mentor and father figure to many.

Darryl’s faith was central to his life, as he made significant contributions to his church and various charitable organizations, including Project Graduation and local golf tournaments. He enjoyed traveling, particularly when it centered around his Catholic faith, and had a special bond with his first grandson, Jacob, sharing in life’s milestones like Jake getting his first buck just weeks before his passing.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Ferdinand Church. A burial will follow at Miller Creek Cemetery. Prior to the funeral, visitation will take place at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 23, from 5-7 p.m., with a Rosary to follow at 7 p.m.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Vargas family for their unwavering support during Darryl’s battle with cancer.

Darryl Lynn Seidel’s light will shine on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be dearly missed.
