Robert Carr Wood
Robert Carr Wood

Robert was the first of two sons, a good student and a star athlete. He graduated from Blanco High School, attended college, and married Jenny Persyn. Residing in New Braunfels, the couple had two children: son, Wyatt and daughter, Sloan. Robert worked in fiber optic communications for many years before a long career as a project manager and construction superintendent.
He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing, but most of all, he loved being a dad. Robert was so proud of Wyatt, a new City of San Antonio Fire Department firefighter, and of Sloan, an honor student at the University of Arkansas.
Robert is preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Calhoun Wood. He is survived by his father, Johnny; son, Wyatt and his fiancé, Kali Dunbar; daughter, Sloan; brother, Clint and his wife, Amber; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at Mount Sharp Cemetery on Dec. 27 at 10:30 a.m. with a celebration of life to follow at the Blanco Bowling Alley.
