Ben Junior was born April 5, 1943, to Ben Cavness and Mattie Crouch Cavness in Mason, Texas.

He is survived by his son Gary Cavness of Ft. Worth, his stepdaughters Shelia Weddles of Junction, Kim Davis of Georgewest and his brother Dorman Cavness of Mason.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Cavness Cemetery.
