Benjamin Thomas Wolfe
Benjamin Thomas Wolfe

Ben was born on July 4, 1959 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia to Ronald and Patricia Wolfe. He graduated high school in 1977 and married Nelda in 1979. Nelda and Ben worked several years alongside one an other on ranches and in the family-owned business. Ben spent 32 years working at Ball Metal, where he made many life-long friends and provided an amazing life for his family.
When Ben wasn’t working, he spent much of his time causing havoc and chaos with his kids and grandkids. There was never a dull moment with him. Whether it be pulling pranks, blowing stuff up, or just spending the day playing on the beach, it was always a good time. You could almost guarantee there would always be guns, good music, s e v e r a l dogs, a football and a lot of kids. It was easy to resort to being childish and just genuinely having a good time with Ben. In some of Ben’s most recent shenanigans, Deidra taught him how to treasure hunt, and that he is not always the boss.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Nelda Wolfe; his parents Ronald and Patricia Wolfe; brothers Jon and Pete Wolfe; as well as his two nephews Stephen and Kyle Holmes.
Ben is survived by his fiancée Diedra Smith; three daughters: Heather Duty, Stacey Wolfe and fiancée Elizabeth Johnson, and Patty and husband Frankie Berg; five grand children: Laura Duty, Morgan Duty, Landen Martinez, Scarlett Berg and Weston Berg; his sisters, Trisha Woodruff and Nickie Cox, along with several beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation with family and friends will be held 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis. A celebration of life will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 12, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Smith Memorial Park.
