Sandra McPherson Overstreet

Sandra McPherson Overstreet was born on August 31, 1945, to Ruby Cooper McPherson and Samuel Grant McPherson, Sr. She left this world to join her family with the lord on October 13, 2025.

She met the love of her life, Eddie Overstreet in first grade, married him just after high school in 1963 and they enjoyed 62 years of love and adventure together.

Sandra was born in Llano and lived most of her life here. Over the years she was involved with many local organizations serving treasurer or president with many, including Llano Youth Group, Llano County Tennis Association, Alpha Delta Zeta Sorority, Llano Community Center Board, Rodeo Queen Chairman, Red Top Jail, Llano Animal Rescue, Llano Historical Museum, Western Trappings, Llano County Historical Commission, Llano County Clay busters, Lone Grove Community Center, and Llano Fine Arts Guild and Gallery. She was elected to serve on the Llano Chamber of Commerce and Llano ISD Board. Throughout the years she was a member of the Church where she and Eddie married, First Baptist of Llano.

She graduated from Llano High School in 1963 and chose to go to work in the insurance field. She obtained the designation Certified Insurance Counselor while service as agency manager for Kingsland Insurance Agency. When she retired from that position after 35 years, she was elected as Treasurer for Llano County. She served eight years in that position and retired again.

She had many hobbies and interests over the years, but family was always at the top of the list. She is survived by her husband of 60+ years, their only child, Jim Ed Overstreet and his wife Priscilla, their only Grandchild, Abigail Overstreet Watson and her Husband Kris. One brother, Jack McPherson, two sisterin- law, Jeannette McPherson and Karen McPherson Templeton, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Billy Wayne, John Earl, Rusty, Sam and Mike, four nephews, Frank McPherson, John Earl McPherson, Jr., Kirk McPherson and David McPherson, and one niece, Jana McPherson Cluck.

She enjoyed life to the fullest and was ready to go home.
