Don Morris Farmer
On August 9th, 1969 Don married Jessie Marie Smith. They had two children. He was a member of the Local 286 Plumber and Pipe Fitters and in August 1984 Don and his Wife Jessie opened their family business Don’s Grass and Landscape.
Upon retirement in 2016 they moved to Johnson City to spend their remaining years.
Don loved Family Reunions, Annual Easter and Memorial Day Fish Frys, dancing, playing games with family and friends such as Wahoo, Left Right Center, and he loved playing Forty- Two. Don also loved going to the coast fishing and getting with some family and friends and take a yearly trip to Colorado hunting.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jessie of 56 years. His two daughters Laura Farmer and Candice Farmer, one grandson Kevin Farmer all of Johnson City, Texas, his brother Gene Farmer of Cedar Park,Texas, sister Cherry Smith of Bastrop, Texas and his sister in law Sherry Farmer of Colorado. Don is also survived by numerous of Nieces, nephews and a huge circle of family and friends whom he loved dearly.
Don was preceded in death by his parents Emmit and Lanora Wigley Farmer, his two sisters Mildred Raff and Louise Barfield, his brother Dewey Farmer, sister in law Gayle Farmer, brother in laws Carl Raff, Paul Barfield, and Bobby Smith.
A celebration of Life will be held on August 30th, 2025 at 11:00 am at Liberty Lighthouse Church, 321 Old River Crossing Johnson City, Texas.
