Crispin Delgado Barrera, age 55, of Blanco, passed away on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, in San Antonio. He was born on June 14, 1970, in Ciudad Acuña, Mexico, to ElPidio Barrera and Irma Delgado Barrera.
Crispin proudly graduated from Blanco High School and dedicated his career to the golf industry, working at Vaalor Greek Golf Course in Blanco. His love for the game brought him immense joy, and he took great pride in his work. Besides his passion for golf, Crispin had a vigorous spirit that resonated through his love for dancing, which he enjoyed immensely.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Kimberly (Brueland) Barrera, and his beloved parents, ElPidio and Irma Barrera. In addition, he is survived by his stepchildren, Keith Jarret Brueland, Zoe Cheyenne Ruiz, and Krystal Michelle Flores; nine siblings, which include ElPidio Barrera and wife Janie, Jesus Barrera, Herminia Chalico and husband Mario, Sr., Tirso Barrera and wife Josephine, Irma Moreno and husband Francisco, Sr., Antonio Barrera and wife Lucy, Virginia Lopez and husband Ramon, Roger Barrera and wife Micaela, and Alfredo Barrera and wife Norma. Crispin will also be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews and a host of cherished friends.
Crispin was preceded in death by an infant brother, Crispin Barrera, and a sister-in-law, Guadalupe Barrera.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 18, at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home in Blanco, with a Rosary service beginning at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 10 a.m. at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, located at 25 Main St., Blanco. Following the Mass, interment will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Crispin’s warmth and vibrant spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
