She was born November 6, 1950, in Fredericksburg, to Edwin and Eveyln Petsch, and married Martin Garza on July 12, 1996.

Sharon attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Fredericksburg, and worked as an Equipment Technician with GTE/Verizon for over 30 years until her retirement from the company.

She was active with her local church, Hilda United Methodist, loved spending time with her beloved cats Rusty and Gertie and in earlier times enjoyed traveling with Martin until he passed.

Survivors include two sons: Cory Brandon and his wife Julie of Doss, Andrew Brandon and his wife Angela, one granddaughter, Emma Brandon all of Euless, Texas; two step-daughters: Sandra Garcia and husband Frank, Cindy Delgado and husband Nick, and one step granddaughter, Mia Romero all of Brownwood, Texas; one brother, Lyndon Petsch and his wife Betty of Doss, Texas; one niece, Julie Herrera and her husband John of Willow City, Texas; eight cousins: James Petsch and his wife Joylene, Wayne Petsch and his wife Judy and Christa Petsch all of Stonewall, Texas; Lester Petsch of Florence, Texas; Pam Petsch of San Antonio, Texas; Danny Petsch and his wife Kathy, Karol Petsch and his wife Arlene all of California; Diana Williams and her husband Phil of Nevada.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Martin and both parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Sharon’s name to Hilda United Methodist (donations may be mailed to P.O. Box 1404, Mason, 76856), the Fredericksburg Food Pantry or the charity of one’s choice.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Hilda United Methodist located at 5850 Loeffler Ln., Mason, TX 76856.
