Lavender is the color and scent of Blanco this week.
The city’s annual Lavender Festival, sponsored by the Blanco Chamber of Commerce, celebrates its 20th year this weekend. Events at the festival are scheduled for noon to 6 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Lavender Festival activities mainly take place around the Old Blanco County Courthouse downtown, but you can also visit a lavender farm as well.
