Blanco ISD Board Talks Budget Preparation

A substantial portion of the May 19 Blanco ISD Board of Trustees meeting focused on budget preparation for the 2025-2026 school year.

There will be a special meeting on June 25 to discuss the district’s budget and adopt the tax rate. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for June 16.

The funding lag was discussed, as well as enrollment trends, general fund expenditures including payroll and interest and sinking. Tracie Moos, the district’s chief financial officer, also updated the board on recent developments at the Texas Legislature and how they could impact the district’s finances.
