The Blanco County Commissioners lifted the county- wide burn ban at their meeting Tuesday morning.
The commissioners voted to lift the burn ban after the county received substantial precipitation, which included severe weather on Monday. Initial rainfall totals from CoCoRaHS, the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network that were available Tuesday morning, showed between 1.07 and 2.58 inches of rain in various parts of the county from Monday morning through Tuesday morning. There was also significant precipitation in some portions of the county late last week.
The commissioners voted to approve vending machine service for the county’s north annex, pending county attorney approval. The lone bid was submitted by Justin Chase, who is a deputy constable for the county.
