On Sunday, June 1, the Mason Chamber of Commerce welcomes Alamo Wedding Venue and Events Center with a ribbon cutting and reception from 2:30-4:30 hosted at 11841 Ranch Road JT Bowyer is a retired Army officer and his wife, Iris, is a retired Kindergarten teacher. Seeking a place to retire that was closer to family, they came across the property on Ranch Road 1871 just past White’s Crossing and fell in love. “It was a God thing for sure. We feel so blessed,” said Iris.
Alamo Wedding Venue and Events Center is a blend of rustic charm and modern elegance on a compound tucked away on 45 wooded acres. There are three spacious, pet-friendly casitas fully equipped with full baths, fridge and TV for overnight stays. The casitas sit inside a large walled courtyard with a pool. Just outside the walls there is a welcoming party barn with ample room for more than 100 to dance the night away or play games like shuffleboard, darts and billiards. “The interior walls are salvaged wood from 1863. DJs have told me the acoustics are like nothing they have ever experienced,” said JT.
The property has two wildlife viewing stations, lots of space to explore and dark skies for stargazing. According to JT, “The night sky at this location is rated 26.98 out of the 27 max viewing quality.”
