The Mason Independent School District (MISD) board performed its official board reorganization and swore in two newly elected members at its regular meeting Monday night.
Liz Rich is new to the MISD board, taking the seat of outgoing member Cole Farmer, and Eric Buell was re-elected for a second term. The board unanimously elected Pam Kruse as president, Jim Bob Smith as vice-president and Tina Navarro as secretary.
Mason Junior High students have worked for three years to raise $31,000 to renovate the courtyard at the school, announced Principal Melissa Contrucci.
