The architect of the Llano High School football program's defense is retiring at the end of the 2024-25 school year.
Matt Anastasio helped guide the Yellow Jackets to new program records in wins, championships and other stats and simply elevated everyone on staff for the last six years, including his athletic director and football head coach Matt Green.
"He was a great coach, not only to our players but also to our young coaches," Green said. "Don't complain. Always look for work. He's an old school coach. Llano is a community that has embraced that."
