Four judging teams from the Blanco FFA Chapter advanced to the 2025 State FFA Contests that have been held over the last two weeks. These state contests were held in the cities of Sinton, Lubbock, College Station, and Stephenville.
The Blanco FFA teams finished out the year with good individual and team placings that will help build a foundation for even greater success in the future. These individuals have learned information and skills that will benefit them for years to come. They have enjoyed ridiculously early mornings, long bus rides, crazy overnight trips, and lots of fast-food restaurants all across the state. Most importantly, they have developed knowledge, friendships, work ethic and memories that will last a lifetime.
The Blanco ag teachers are very proud of these students who worked hard and made it to state. We also greatly appreciate the support of the parents who allow their kids to participate in our program.
We had 60 students compete on our six spring judging teams this year. The students traveled to and competed in 30 different contests all over the state of Texas this spring. Blanco FFA students and ag teachers covered 7,500 miles traveling to their contests during this judging season!
Those teams and individuals who competed in the State FFA contests are as follows: Entomology (12th place team at state): Cassie Hartman, John Nimmo, Emma Edmonson and Breanna Delgado Wildlife (17th place team at state): Wyatt Martinez, Briley Myers, Kylene Kramer and Chance Martinez.
