The Llano City Council held its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday evening, May 5, at City Hall, marking the final meeting for outgoing Mayor Marion Bishop. Bishop, who narrowly lost last week's mayoral election to Alderwoman Laura Almond by eight points, presided over a relatively light agenda without any reference to the recent municipal elections.
The meeting’s primary focus was a detailed presentation from the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) on the results of its recent electrical system study in Llano. The LCRA delegation was introduced by Transmission Customer Relations Representative Bill Jerram and included Lance Wenmohs, Susan Patten, Ryan White, and Javier Sanchez.
Jerram deferred to White, the technical lead on the project, who explained that the study involved a full field assessment of Llano’s electrical infrastructure. Using a georeferenced model, the study evaluated voltage capacity, conductor loads, and power efficiency, with the goal of optimizing system performance and planning for future demand.
