Miller Creek Voters Cast Ballots Against Hobbes Incorporation

Voters near the Miller Creek area voted to not incorporate the City of Hobbes by a more than two-to-one margin in Saturday’s election.

Elections were also held by the City of Blanco, Blanco ISD, Blanco Pedernales Water Conservation District and the City of Johnson City. All results are unofficial until canvassed by their respective elective bodies.

Ballots cast in the incorporation election for Hobbes were 43 against incorporation and 18 in favor. Of the ballots against incorporation, 31 were cast during early voting and 11 were cast on election day, with one absentee ballot. Of those voting in favor of incorporation, six ballots were cast during early voting and 10 were cast on election day, with two absentee ballots.
