Residents in Gillespie, Blanco, Burnet, and surrounding counties are urged to take immediate precautions as dangerous storms move through the region.
Active Tornado Warning
A Tornado Warning remains in effect until 8:00 AM CDT for northwestern Blanco and southeastern Gillespie counties. At 7:29 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Stonewall, moving northeast at 35 mph. Hazards include a tornado and quarter-sized hail. Areas impacted include Stonewall, Hye, LBJ State Park, Albert, Rocky Creek, Sandy, and Johnson City. Residents in these areas should seek shelter immediately.
