Saturday is election day for several local entities.
Voters can cast their ballots in races for Blanco mayor and city council, for or against bond propositions from the city and Blanco ISD, and in a county-wide race for a water district director position. Some county residents can also vote whether to create another municipality, known as Hobbes. If created, there are also people on the ballot running for mayor and city commissioner.
Voters in Blanco ISD boundaries can vote on two bond proposals. If approved, Proposition A would be for more than $32 million for infrastructure improvements in the district, in addition to educational programs, safety improvements, instructional technology, new buses and HVAC replacement.
