Keep Blanco Beautiful Earns Governor’s Community Achievement Award

Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) has awarded Keep Blanco Beautiful one of the state’s most prestigious environmental honors—the 2025 Governor’s Community Achievement Award (GCAA). This distinction recognizes the city’s dedication to creating a cleaner environment for residents and engaging the community in efforts to beautify the city.

“This award is a testament to the dedication of our residents and volunteers who work tirelessly to keep Blanco clean, beautiful and thriving,” said Retta Martin, KBB executive director. “With this funding, we look forward to transforming a key area of our city into a lasting landmark for future generations.”

Since 1969, Keep Texas Beautiful has partnered with the Governor’s office to honor cities and towns for outstanding community improvement efforts. Since 1985, TxDOT has provided more than $49 million in funding for landscaping projects in winning communities.
