The Blanco softball team added three District 3A-5 wins this past week.
The Lady Panthers runruled Florence 18-3 on April 7 and 18-1 April 11. Blanco defeated Comfort 19-4 Monday, April 14. The Lady Panthers are 22-2 overall and 9-0 in district play. Ingram is second in district at 7-2, while Llano is third at 5-4.
Morgan Clark pitched the four-inning win April 7 against Florence. She struck out two batters and did not give up an earned run. Kynlee Hernandez blasted three singles and a home run for two RBI and two runs scored. Mariah Newsome hit three singles and a double with three runs scored. Maddie Lopez hit three singles with four RBI and two runs scored. Landry Meyer had a single and two doubles for four RBI and three runs scored. Madison Hunter had two singles, three RBI and three runs scored. Candice Lopez, Celeste Ledesma and Kinley Boyd each hit a single. Hunter, Newsome and Boyd each had a stolen base.
