Mason Seeking New Athletic Director, Football Head Coach

The Mason Independent School District is seeking a new athletic director and football head coach.

Mason Independent School District Superintendent Sean Leamon posted the opening on different web sites, including the Texas High School Coaches Association, which has more than 27,000 members making it the largest coaches association in the country.

Leamon will complete his first year in the position in May. Soon after he was on the job, he was told that current athletic director and football head coach Michael McLeod did not receive a contract extension in February 2024. McLeod was the defensive coordinator under Kade Burns before accepting the position of head coach and athletic director, which he's had for six seasons.
