The Blanco boys basketball team plowed through two rounds of the playoffs last week as they advanced to the regional semifinals.

The Panthers topped Clyde 42-39 on Feb. 24 in the bi-district round then picked up a 75-66 win over Dublin in the area round. Both games were played at San Saba High School. Clyde finishes the season with a 24-9 record. Dublin is 16-17 overall. Blanco is currently 24-5.

Blanco trailed 5-4 after the first quarter and led 18-16 at halftime. The Panthers took the lead in the third quarter as they outscored the Bulldogs 16-5. Clyde outscored Blanco 16-10 in the fourth, but that was enough for the Panthers to hold on to the win.
