The 2025-26 Mason High School girls basketball team adds another gold ball trophy to the case and will play for the Class 2A Division I state title after crushing San Augustine 43-22 March 2. The 2025- 26 Mason High School girls basketball team made school history March 2 when the Cowgirls beat San Augustine 43-22 in a Class 2A Division I state semifinal.

The Cowgirls (40-1, 12-0 District 29-2A champions) will play for the state championship for the first time in program history at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at The Alamodome in San Antonio.

They will face either Region 1 winner Panhandle or Region II winner Cisco. The two were playing March 3 and results were not available by press time.
