(Fredericksburg) – Create Healthy has opened applications for its annual Volunteer Appreciation Week Sponsorship Initiative to support Hill Country nonprofits in celebrating the volunteers who make their work possible during National Volunteer Appreciation Week April 19-25.
Create Healthy provides funds to eligible nonprofit organizations serving Gillespie, Blanco, Llano, and Mason Counties, as well as the town of Comfort. Funds are intended to offset the costs of Volunteer Appreciation Week efforts, such as meals, recognition events, supplies, or small tokens of thanks, allowing organizations to recognize the people who give their time and energy year-round.
“Volunteers are essential to the health and resilience of our communities,” said Jayne Pope, RN, president and CEO of Create Healthy. “This initiative is a meaningful way to support the organizations that rely on volunteers every day and to ensure those volunteers are valued and recognized during Volunteer Appreciation Week.”
