A local man’s film about years of emotional experiences in Africa currently is in the post-production phase.
“Me and Ms. Hanatu” is an investigative documentary that took about five years to film over the course of 16 trips to Nigeria. Director and executive producer Mike Arnold of Blanco is partnering with over seven people to get the film released.
“We’re full speed ahead with a heck of a team,” Arnold said when he spoke with the News last week. “I’m not a wealthy man, so we’ve been raising the funds to complete the film. Lord willing and if the funding keeps coming, the goal is for the film to be out this summer. Some of the videos from the soundtrack have ‘gone viral,’ which raises awareness not just about the film but about the larger issue.”
