Announcements, recognition
Chief of Police Jason Graham and Assistant Chief of Police Paul Nelson were recognized for being nominated for the Patriot Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). ESGR sponsors an awards program designed to recognize employers for employment policies and practices that are supportive of their employees’ participation in the National Guard and Reserve. The nomination was made by City of Horseshoe Bay Police Department employee Nick King. The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide range of measures including flexible schedules and time off prior to and after deployment, among others.
