The Blanco County Commissioners passed an order that prohibits “thru truck traffic” on three county roads.

The order, passed unanimously, will prohibit thru truck traffic on Cox Road, Lindemann Lane and Tejas Trail. For example, trucks over 60,000 pounds in weight will be prohibited from traveling from RM 32 to FM 165 on these roads by using them as a cut through. Any truck over that weight limit must have direct business at an address on one of those roads in order to travel on the roads.

During a public hearing on the item, two residents spoke in favor of the order. One letter from a resident was also read in support of the order.
