TASB Representative Addresses Blanco School Board

TASB Representative Addresses Blanco School Board

A representative of the Texas Association of School Boards addressed the Blanco ISD Board of Trustees at their Feb. 2 meeting.

Marian Strauss gave board members a timeline of the search for a new superintendent at the meeting. A survey for the community to share what qualities they think are most important for the next Blanco ISD superintendent is currently posted on the district’s website at https://surveys.tasb.org/s3/ Blanco-ISD-2026-Leadership-Survey. The results of the survey will be presented to the board on Feb. 24. In addition to reviewing community feedback, the timeline also includes meetings with faculty, criminal, financial and social media background checks, two rounds of interviews, and an optional site visit to the preferred applicant’s home district before a vote is taken to name a finalist and hire the new superintendent.

Strauss informed the board that the length of Clay Rosenbaum’s tenure as Blanco ISD superintendent outperformed the average length of service.
