Twenty-Six students from Blanco High School attended their first UIL Academics meet of the year at Wimberley High School on Feb. 7.
This was an invitational meet held as a practice for the district meet, which will be held the last week in March.
Invitational competitions are tough because they are not broken down by school size, so students from Blanco were competing against teams from much larger schools, according to Andrea Perez, BHS coordinator for UIL Academics. There were a total of 17 schools which competed at the meet.
