The Llano High School girls basketball team captured the District 5-3A championship for the second year in a row, the first repeat title for the program in two decades.
They did so by crushing against Comfort 43-28 February 6 to ensure the seniors exited their gym as victors once more and ended the regular season with a 36-33 setback to Blanco February 10.
The loss means the Lady Jackets (13-14, 8-2) are sharing the district championship with Blanco and Ingram Tom Moore, which beat Florence February 10.
