There will be significant changes to Blanco’s football district for the next two seasons.
The University Interscholastic League announced new district assignments for the next two school years on Monday. Blanco will be in a Class 3A, Division II District 15 with Comfort, Karnes City, Nixon Smiley, Poth, San Antonio Young Men’s Leadership and Stockdale.
“I think it’s going to be a very competitive district,” said Blanco football coach and athletic director Kent Walker. “Anytime you realign, there’s a period of adjustment, but overall I see it as being a positive challenge for our football program. We have a tough non-district schedule that will challenge us to stay consistent and keep getting better each week, which benefits us for our very competitive district.”
