The 61st Hill Country Trail ride will kick off Friday in Blanco.
The event begins at Yett Park after riders and wagon teams from all over the United States and Texas come to town for the start of the event. Under trail boss Becki Haas Kosub, a Blanco native, the trail ride aims to promote the history and culture of Texas trail rider and raise funds for youth at the San Antonio Stock Show.
The trail ride will go through the historic Blanco square Saturday afternoon. That night, members of the trail ride will head to Twin Sisters Dance Hall for its monthly dance. There will be a silent auction to support the trail ride. In addition to the dance, the Blanco Chamber of Commerce will provide a cowboy breakfast Sunday morning.
