Nature lovers curious about giving back to one of the Hill Country’s most popular outdoor destinations are invited to learn more during a volunteer open house at Inks Lake State Park on Sunday, Feb. 15.
The event will be held from 2–5 p.m. at the Inks Lake State Park Headquarters, located at 3480 Park Road 4 West in Burnet.
Park volunteers will be on hand to share their experiences and explain the many ways community members can get involved, from helping with birding and hiking programs to supporting park operations and special events. Organizers say volunteer opportunities are available for a wide range of interests and abilities.
