The Johnson City girls basketball team beat Junction 61-13 on the road Jan. 6, before falling to Harper 37-32 on Jan. 9 at home.
The Lady Eagles are now 2-2 in district play with two thirds of the schedule left to play. They are currently in a three-way tie with Harper and San Saba for third place in the district standings.
With strong opponents looming in Johnson City’s short-term future, head coach Chris Schlicke is watching his team come together through the adversity.
