Mason Habitat to Accept Applications for Next Home to be Built

Mason Habitat to Accept Applications for Next Home to be Built
The Habitat for Humanity RV Care-A-Vanners are seen here standing a wall as the 23rd Habitat house was being built last year in Mason. As the partner family, Jessica and Robert Gotcher were very active in the building process, accruing many hours in ‘sweat equity’ towards home ownership.

Mason County Habitat for Humanity, Inc. plans to build its twenty-fourth home this year and is starting the homeowner selection process.

If you think you would like to buy Mason Habitat’s 24th home you may have questions like these: What are the required qualifications? How do I apply? How does the homeowner selection process work? What information do I need to provide? When will Mason Habitat select its next homeowner? What is “sweat equity,” how much sweat equity is required and how do I earn it? When and where will Mason Habitat build its next home? How is the price of the home set and how is the sale financed?

Mason Habitat’s Homeowner Selection Committee will hold three (3) public meetings at which anyone interested can get answers to these and other questions, can pick-up an application and begin the application process. The construction of the house is to begin soon and completed in a few short months.
