The 2nd annual Fredericksburg Book Festival will return to downtown Fredericksburg next Saturday, January 17, offering a full day of author appearances, literary programming, and family-friendly activities from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The free, public festival will feature nine Texas authors participating in readings, panel discussions, interviews, and audience Q&A sessions. Programming is divided into two tracks: one focused on books for adult readers and a second centered on children’s and young adult literature, with hands-on activities designed for kids and teens throughout the day.
Participating authors include nationally recognized writers Lawrence Wright, Sandra Cisneros, Jenny Lawson, Elizabeth Crook, Joe Nick Patoski, Dr. Carmen Tafolla, David Bowles, Christopher Bodmann, and April Henley. Author sessions and book signings will take place continuously during the festival across three venues: Pioneer Memorial Library, St. Joseph’s Halle, and the Gillespie County Historical Society’s Sanctuary.
