In an earlier HSB Beacon article, Horseshoe Bay’s fifth mayor in 20 years, Mayor Jeff Jones, was introduced as a PK (preacher’s kid) with a keen sense of humor. It is evident that he wears his Christian faith on the surface of his life. He and wife Candy of 43 years moved to HSB in 2020.
In this final edition of The HSB Beacon for 2025, Mayor Jones is “Looking Back” at his life and preparation to be Mayor. In the first issue of 2026 the interview will be “Looking Forward.” This interview has been edited for length and readability, not clarity. Mayor Jones is quite articulate.
