Prospective candidates for the City of Llano’s 2026 municipal election can begin filing applications for a place on the ballot in mid-January, according to information released by the City Secretary’s Office.
Applications for a place on the general election ballot may be filed beginning January 14, 2026, and must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13. Candidates seeking to run as write-in candidates must submit their application by February 17. There is no filing fee to run for municipal office.
City Council seats currently held by Aldermen Travis Allen, Kelli Tudyk and Les McDaniel will be on the ballot in the upcoming election.
