JOHNSON CITY, TX — The Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board (TSSWCB), proudly recognizes Ralph Ebeling for 30 years of dedicated service as a Director of the Pedernales Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD). Ebeling has also announced his retirement, marking the conclusion of a distinguished tenure dedicated to the conservation of Texas’ soil and water resources. Throughout his service, Ebeling played an active role in guiding local conservation efforts and supporting programs that benefit farmers, ranchers, landowners, and the broader community within the district. Ebeling represented Zone 1 on the Pedernales SWCD since 1995, helping shape district policies and conservation priorities while serving as a local voice for responsible land stewardship.

Soil and Water Conservation Districts play a vital role in preserving and managing the state’s natural resources. These districts work at the grassroots level, engaging with local communities to implement conservation practices that ensure the sustainable use of soil and water. Over the past 30 years, Ebeling alongside his fellow District Directors has been at the forefront of these efforts, tirelessly working to protect and enhance the natural resources of Blanco County.

Pedernales SWCD has a longstanding partnership with the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board, an agency committed to supporting local districts in their mission. The Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board’s mission is to promote and coordinate conservation and responsible management of the state’s natural resources. Through education, outreach, and partnership with local districts like Pedernales SWCD, the TSSWCB strives to ensure a legacy of healthy soils and clean water for future generations.
