The City of Mason entered into a temporary contract for an interim City Secretary and accepted a separation agreement with City Administrator Amanda Hill at a special meeting December 4.
The City’s attorney, Charlie Zech of the firm Denton Navarro Rodriguez Bernal Santee & Zech, P.C., of Austin, was present at the meeting and met with the Commission as they twice went into closed session. Zech also met with Administrator Hill during the meeting. The City has been a client of Zech’s law firm for about 10 years.
Administrator Hill, which was approved 3-0. After the meeting, Mayor Pro Tem Beaty said Administrator Hill was expected to leave her position on December 17. He said Administrator Hill had already begun putting out postings for a new Mason City Administrator.
