The Mason High School football team eliminated stubborn Kenedy 41-37 November 28 from the Class 2A Division I playoffs.

Next up is Refugio at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4, at Heroes Stadium, 4799 Thousand Oaks Drive in San Antonio.

Against Kenedy, the Punchers (10-3, 5-0 District 14-2A Division I champions) had to overcome a deficit, make a defensive stand, and have a tiny bit of luck to reach the state quarterfinals.
