The holiday season officially arrives in Llano this weekend, and there’s no need to travel far to find festive fun. From Friday through Sunday, the town will be brimming with family-friendly events, holiday traditions, and plenty of opportunities to soak up the Christmas spirit.

That holly jolly feeling is already in the air, with the Courthouse bells ringing their hourly Christmas carols for everyone nearby to enjoy. Cooler weather has arrived just in time, with highs in the 50s and 60s this week with warming sunshine expected Saturday - a perfect Texas December day.

A Dickens of a Christmas, now in its annual three-day run, brings together local organizations and community groups for a weekend packed with events for all ages. The festivities begin Friday evening with the sold-out Dickens of a Dinner Theater at the LISD Community Room (1400 Oatman Street). Guests will enjoy a four-course meal accompanied by live theatrical entertainment, all in support of youth in Llano County Foster Care.
