Mason Community to Bring Free Christmas Market to Families in Need

“Showing the Love of Christ, One Gift at a Time” As the holiday season approaches, our community is turning Christmas cheer into compassionate action with a heartfelt initiative: a Free Christmas Market designed to serve parents who might otherwise struggle to afford gifts for their children. Clients of the Mason County Food Pantry have already had the opportunity to sign up their children for the Christmas Market. The organizers of the Christmas Market aim to have enough presents for those 198 children-will be a festive, welcoming space where families in need can “shop” for brand new, gifts - completely free of charge. The Mason County Library has stepped up to help, donating dozens of books for the event! More than just presents, the event offers hope, dignity, and a tangible expression of the love of Christ.

“We believe Christmas is about more than gifts - it’s about love, grace, and community,” said Melany Canfield, one of the lead organizers. “This market is a way for us to share God’s love with those who may be going through a tough time. No parent should have to choose between paying bills and giving their child a joyful Christmas.” At the Christmas Market, parents will be able to browse a variety of toys, books and clothing items, all carefully organized to ensure a joyful and dignified shopping experience. The Christmas Market is scheduled for Sunday December 14th from 3:00 to 5:00.
