The Mason County Commissioners Court heard the final presentation of the Airport Planning Study at its regular meeting November 10.
Jeff Borowiec, Aviation Program Director of Woolpert, Inc., contracted by the County to perform the study, said the study is part of the master plan process for revamping the Mason County Airport, and would give the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT), who will provide 90 percent of the funding, an idea of what the project looks like.
Woolpert has been working with the County since December of 2024 on the development plan, which as collected data on critical aircraft using the facility.
