The Mason High School football team’s decisive 61- 15 victory against Marlin November 13 to begin the Class 2A Division I playoffs is hard ignore.
Especially when observers see how the Punchers (8-3, 5-0 District 14-2A Division champions) did it – 425 yards of total offense with 195 yards coming from their rushing attack on 28 carries with a seven-yard average per touch.
And through the air, the Punchers completed 14 of 17 passes for 231 yards and four scores for whopping 16.5-yard average per completion. Leading the way was sophomore quarterback Ryder Balmos, who completed 13 of 16 passes for 230 yards with four touchdowns and an interception.
