The Mason High School football team won its 15th consecutive district crown thanks to thumping San Saba 22-0 November 7.
“I want to make sure that people understand how proud I am of this group of kids,” said head coach Wade Griffin, who is in his first year at the helm. “When we were 1-3, the only ones that really believed that they can do this is this group of boys, and I’m just really proud.
They’ve come together and they’re the true meaning of a team. There’s not one standout. They play that way and they play for each other.”
